I was born in Beirut, in 1966, and I am part of a Lebanese generation, who vaguely knew the pre-war indifference. This refers to the epoch preceding 1975, this memory, I still feel it today as a dream, abruptly interrupted at my eighth birthday.

The war directly influenced my first artworks.

But later, I no longer felt the need to invoke it, at least directly, because I think that any trauma always resurfaces, from time to time …

But fortunately, my environment offers other particularities; much more positive ones

The journeys that I undertook in the region and the friendly relations I have formed led me to make sure that the cultures mixing is the common feature that unites most of the peoples of the region. This particularity has strongly influenced my artwork.
