François Sargologo (b. 1955) is a Visual Artist of Lebanese origin based in France. His practice mainly questions different aspects of identity, exile, social and introspective issues focusing nearly exclusively on his hometown Beirut. Combining photography, text, and archival material, impulses the basis of his creative process “into the aesthetic possibilities” of his practice. His work is included in private and public collections.
As an art director he has also designed various book collections for editors such as Le Seuil, Presses Universitaires de France (France), and Fondation Bodmer Museum in Switzerland […]
Granted the “European Print Award of excellence” by Print Magazine for Progress, an artists’s book, (Great Britain), he has also been published in design magazines such as Étapes Graphiques (France), and Page Magazine (Germany).
