Arts AlUla presents: HUNDRED BEST ARABIC POSTERS

Arts AlUla presents HUNDRED BEST ARABIC POSTERS in collaboration with the American University in Cairo, as part of the Arts AlUla festival. These posters are a production from the last two years representing multiple countries in Southwest Asia, North Africa, and its diaspora.

 

HUNDRED BEST ARABIC POSTERS Is an independent platform for Arabic graphic design. Their vision is to document the Arab world’s contemporary visual culture to inspire connect and educate new talents academics and professionals regionally and to contribute to the visibility and perception of Arabic Graphic Design worldwide.

 

 

Their main activity is the biennial 100/100- HUNDRED BEST ARABIC POSTERS competition where they welcome and encourage every designer whether using the Arab script or working for an Arabic client or university to participate.

 

 

Participation is free and the jury members are professional, independent designers and academics from around the Arab world who contribute their time and expertise voluntarily. The winning posters are displayed within an exhibition traveling in the region and beyond. Each round is documented in a publication that is distributed to Art and Design institutions around the world.

 

 

Each poster speaks to a different topic from the cultural to the personal in this maze-like exhibition. Each interprets its subjects and shares information in designs ranging from the intricate to the minimal and everything in between

 

 

The posters represent as well, graphic arts and design, showcasing commercial and conceptual approaches. They represent the needs, beauty, and style in every expression whether its practical aesthetic, or grotesque.
