The exhibition at CAP (Contemporary Art Platform) was displayed in linear formation as if to convey a free-form storyboard traveling from one region to the next. This showed the wave of artistic tendencies that overcomes the entire MENA region as well as delineated the subtle artistic differences between the neighbouring countries.
At opening night, Kuwait’s art scene was deeply intrigued by this manifestation. Spectators moved slowly and up close to the walls, analysing one by one, as each represented the entire world of one artist. Kuwait’s arid landscape and depth of culture was undoubtedly a most dynamic setting for this traveling collection of little beauties.
Cultural Narratives at CAP Kuwait runs from October 17th until October 31st 2018.
