In partnership with Msheireb Properties, Anima Gallery successfully launched an art exhibition named “Eruption.” The event gathered members of the creative community, guests, and media representatives to witness the unveiling of distinctive artworks created by renowned global artists.
The exhibition, aptly titled “Eruption,” serves as a platform for meaningful conversations and introspection surrounding the prevailing themes of change, upheaval, and transformation that define our contemporary era. Exploring the interplay between reality and imagination, the exhibition delves into the numerous forces that shape our lives.
With a diverse roster of artists hailing from different parts of the world, ranging from emerging talents to established masters, the exhibition presents a wide range of artistic disciplines. From sculptures and paintings to digital creations and sculptural installations, each artist contributes a unique vision and perspective to the concept of “eruption,” resulting in a captivating and diverse collection of interpretations that reflect the intricacies of our world.
The gallery showcased a wide range of sculptural installations and artworks, which encompassed pieces like “Odalisque” created by Anastasia Nysten. This particular artwork involved the use of gold metallic real leather and varied-density polyurethane form filling. Another notable piece was “Ready, Aim, Fire” by Jean Boghossian, which combined color, pigment, fire, and smoke in an acrylic on canvas composition. Additionally, the exhibition included “Media Shout,” a painted stainless steel artwork by Nadim Karam.
Garo Bardakjin, who represents the international relations of Jean Boghossian’s artwork, discussed the significance of Boghossian’s use of fire as a medium in an interview with The Peninsula. Bardakjin emphasized that fire is an extremely powerful and destructive element, and employing it as a medium in artistic expression adds a unique and intense dimension to the artwork.
