"THROUGH THE MIND" ART EXHIBITION BY DUSAN KRIVSKY

Dušan is someone who likes expressive expression. He is a painter who addresses the surface of the canvas in a harmony of colours with ease and panache. The expressive approach of painting has been one of the significant artistic trends in the Czech Republic since the 1990’s. But dark themes have dominated this current over the last few years, about interpersonal relationships, burnout, societal disasters.

However, Dušan is also a romantic. In his painting, as in the paintings of 19th century European painters, the sea mirrors reflected clouds and horizons are hidden in fog. For the last two years, he has been focusing his attention on the themes of the sea, water and dramatic lighting in the garden. His paintings are not dark, they are dramatic, expressive and romantic at the same time.
