In ART, General

Concurrent with the highly-anticipated Art Basel event, VOLTA, in its 15th edition, stays true to its mission of shedding light on ambitious, or perhaps slightly overlooked ‘mother galleries’ coming from all over the globe.

” The quality and consistency of our exhibitors and their compelling projects reflects this mandate. VOLTA visitors are in for a real treat this year,” promises Amanda Coulson, VOLTA Artistic Director.

The big exhibition will provide, as it always does, a space for discovering art that is continuously evolving, with 79 galleries showcasing their best work.

21 fully solo projects will be on show this year, with over half of the participating galleries choosing to go for solo or dual-artist projects, a format that is not strange to the VOLTA fairs.

Between the vast sea of participating galleries from all over Europe, Asia, and the America’s, Lebanon stands out as the only Arab gallery showcasing at VOLTA, with Beirut-based Artual Gallery, showcasing pieces by artists such as Ivan Alifan (Russian), Katrin Fridriks (Icelandic), Stickymonger (Korean), and a lot more.
