Returning for its 26th year, The Armory Show continues its commitment to cutting edge art in which it has become a leading cultural destination for discovering modern and contemporary art. This upcoming edition is led by the Executive Director Nicole Berry and will take place once again on Piers 94 and 90, Manhattan.

The 2020 edition will feature an expanded curatorial programme and will welcome 183 exhibitors from 32 countries, 125 of which are returning exhibitors. Pier 90 will host the show’s gallery section as well as the Presents section that is dedicated for the presentation of works that are no more than three years old, from relatively new galleries. Thus The Armory Show serves as an international meeting point, paving the way for fresh discoveries and visibility in the larger market.

The Show will feature three curated sections: Perspectives, curated by Nora Abrams of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and dedicated to historical work examined through a contemporary lens. Platform section, gives artists the opportunity to realise large – scale installations and performances and is curated by Anne Ellegood, executive director of Institute of Contemporary Art.

The Focus section returns this year with the theme of revisionist histories, this section features solo- and dual-artist presentations of post-2000 art and is curated by James, curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.

The Armory Show will include as well special projects and dedicated talks featuring internationally renowned artists, curators, collectors, and art practitioners. The show serves as a nexus for the international art world, inspiring dialogue, discovery, and patronage in the visual arts.

The Armory Show will take place at Piers 90 and Pier 94, 711 12th Avenue at West 55th Street and West 48th Street, March 4–8, 2020.
