With the technological progress that we’re witnessing daily, one cannot but wonder about the future. How would life look like a thousand years from now and where would the human experience stand with the rise of artificial intelligence?
Louvre Abu Dhabi, a museum that encompasses many different cultures, has released a 20-minute cinematic podcast We Are Not Alone that places audience in a futuristic setting where super intelligence and interstellar travel is the norm while interpreting the museum’s architecture.
The experience begins with a message from Louvre Abu Dhabi’s architect Jean Nouvel, recorded for future generations. Then the narrators start the journey questioning human nature and contemplating artificial intelligence.
We Are Not Alone is written by Stéphan Crasneanscki and narrated by seven international celebrities including Hussain Al Jassmi, Willem Dafoe, Zhou Dongyu, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nina Kraviz, Wim Wenders and Jean Nouvel. It is also accompanied by a short film that reimagines the museum as the backdrop to this poetic tale that takes place in a post-human galaxy thousands of years in the future.
We Are Not Alone by Soundwalk Collective is available in six different languages that can be viewed on the Louvre Abu Dhabi website.
