As intended by nature, a year has circled back and through to its apex position in the cycle, this month being the apex, for reasons engendered by a global cultural pulse.

With no further ado, we all welcome center stage the new found zeal and indomitable spirit of Design Miami 2021 amongst all of the other fairs occurring simultaneously.

Before delving into the many specifics, it must be said that 2021 is particularly special as SELECTIONS has been handed the keys to some stealthy wheels.

This year, SELECTIONS leaps forth in style and comfort lending our elegant mobile privileges to none other than Lexus.

Design Miami’s returning automotive partner has invited our readers to embrace Lexus’ visionary perspective. The automotive company transcends the basic functionality of its product by prioritising the experience over the destination.

In this vein, Lexus engages with the art and design world, so as to bring forth the highest realm of one’s most immediate faculties.

As the central happening, Lexus collaborates with Germane Barnes, The University of Miami in an immersive installation that aims to broaden one’s awareness of their product’s electrified, carbon neutral prerogative.

A « motto » by which Lexus wishes to live by in ALL of their future manufacturing.

Propelling forth the future of design, the installation on view will attract an audience equally compelled by environmental awareness, attention to excellence and detail, esthetes and technology lovers.
