Al markhiya gallery at the Fire Station is pleased to announce the opening of  the Qatari artist, Salman Al-Malek exhibition, “Color Transformations, Realisations in Human Form”.

Salman Al-Malek is recognised as a talented photographer, painter, caricaturist, printing director, designer, and contemporary mark-making craftsman. Throughout his career, Al-Malek has shown himself to be a master of various disciplines, utilizing his distinctive creative voice to address a broad spectrum of subjects.

Born in Doha in 1958, Al-Malek earned his Batchelor’s Degree in Education and Arts in Cairo in 1982. Since then, his work has been exhibited locally and internationally in prestigious institutions such as Institute du Monde Arab in Paris (2007 & 2008), the Bangladesh Biennale in Dhaka (2009), and the Istanbul Museum of Art (2015). His works have been acquired by significant collections, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Mathaf – Arab Museum of Contemporary Art, the Arab Bank, Qatar National Bank and the National Museum of Qatar.
