NIKA Project Space presents Fever, a multisensory exhibition by Christiane Peschek, exploring the intersection of global warming’s impact and techno-shamanism—blending technology, spirituality, and nature. This marks Peschek’s first solo exhibition in the UAE, supported by the gallery’s research program. The immersive show, taking over the entire two-story space, highlights extreme emotional and physical experiences induced by environmental change, particularly through the lens of the internet’s cultural and environmental influence.

On the ground floor, Peschek showcases new AI-generated portraits on silk, alongside glass-blown and 3D-printed sculptures. The mezzanine is transformed into a healing oracle installation, enhancing the exhibition’s sensory journey. Drawing from research conducted in Abu Dhabi’s Liwa Desert, Peschek delves into desert myths, protective snakes, mirages, and the symbolic Ouroboros—representing the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. In Fever, this symbol is reinterpreted as a snake swallowing its venom gland, addressing today’s environmental toxicity.
Fever is part of Peschek’s larger cycle of works titled Gaia Scripts, exploring the five elements of nature, with Fever representing fire. The exhibition follows previous works such as Oasis (air) and The Rituals of Vapor Shells (water). Peschek credits the UAE for deeply influencing their practice, offering a fresh context for exploring humanity’s relationship with environment and technology.
