OMAR RAJEH, KNIGHTHOOD OF THE ORDER OF ARTS AND LETTERS

© Stas Maksimov - UNION, Omar Rajeh

The Minister of Culture in France Mrs. Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin distinguishes Omar Rajeh with the title of Chevalier de l’ordre des arts et des lettres (Knighthood of the Order of Arts and Letters), one of the main four ministerial distinctions of the French Republic. Omar is very humbled by this recognition. Since the creation of Maqamat in 2002, he has been following his vision and fully dedicated his career to thinking, creating, developing strong and sustainable proposals for dance and culture.

The Odor of Elephants after the Rain will be performed at the Fabbrica Europa Festival in Florence. UNION, that premiered last month in Kaluga, will start its Russian tour at the Dance Inversion Festival by the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Maqamat is also looking forward to its long-awaited premiere of Cent Mille Façons de Parler at Espace des Arts in Chalon-sur-Saône, on the 26th of November.
