In anticipation of the Quoz Arts Fest on January 27-28 at Alserkal Avenue, Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the founder of Tashkeel, has curated an exhibition, drawing from her private art collection that spans two decades. Teaming up with FN Designs, she presents an array of artworks, featuring prominent Arab and international artists. The showcase includes pieces by Emirati artists such as Abdul Qadir Al Rais, Dr. Najat Makki, and calligraphers Majid Alyousef and Wissam Shawkat.

The Private Collection exhibition stands out for its diverse array of mediums, encompassing Monir Farmanfarmaian’s mirror fragments, Damien Hirst’s silkscreen Diligam Te Domine adorned with diamond dust, and Yong Rae Kwon’s stainless steel elements on canvas.
The exhibition extends its scope to artists who have benefitted from Tashkeel’s workshops and facilities, showcasing Manal AlDowayan’s photograph ‘Mother’ from her ‘I Am’ series. AlDowayan is set to represent Saudi Arabia at the 60th Venice Biennale in April 2024. Additionally, the private collection includes works by Ruben Sanchez and Alonsa Guevara, artists nurtured through Tashkeel’s mentorship programs.
The private collection emerges as a seamless blend of regional and international masterpieces, embodying the curator’s commitment to transcending cultural boundaries. Witness the Private Collection exhibition at FN Designs in Alserkal Avenue until Saturday, January 28.
