The Knokke Art Fair will take place from 10 to 18 August at the Grand Casino Knokke. This fair blends respect for tradition with a focus on contemporary trends. Held for the fourth time at this venue, the fair features a variety of paintings, graphics, drawings, photography, and sculpture.
Known for its international character, it showcases around forty galleries with diverse artworks.
Galleries from across Europe will participate, highlighting both modern and contemporary art. The young Devea Gallery from Antwerp will welcome visitors with works by female artists Charlotte Molenkamp and Margot Homan, along with sensitive nude drawings by Cathalijn Wouters. Italy’s Il Chiostro Arte Contemporanea and Galleria Immaginaria from Florence will display diverse and refined pieces, including Tommaso Cascella’s abstract works, Fernando Cucci’s poetic materials, and Lluis Cera’s unique sculptures.
Dutch Galerie Van Nuland will return with Dominique Ampe’s evocative interiors, while Eddy Heleven from Maastricht will present original jewellery. Figures by Rose Wylie will be featured at Mookji Art, and the Sanary Art Galerie from southern France will showcase artists like Robert Combas, George Braque, and Joan Miró. Art 020 from Amsterdam will offer sculptures by Mo Cornelisse and Peter Peereboom’s linear sophistication.
LE Gallery will display limited editions by renowned artists such as Man Ray and Andy Warhol. The third edition of Highlights.be, which presents works from collectors, is also a must-see, located in the Flemish Salon reached from the Magritte Hall where you can explore modern art. These are a few examples of what to see at the fair with a lot more galleries offering different perspectives on art.
