Architect: SPEECH
Location: Mobility District
Area: 3,630 sqm
Structure: Architect Sergei Tchoban designed the building in the shape of two hemispheres that are domes creating the image of a planet symbolising wholeness and universality. It also represents constant movement, the prerequisite of unstoppable progressive development, creation and progress. The pavilion featuring two domes, one placed inside the other, has three main stories and a mezzanine level.
Material: The façade features intertwined thread-like pipes using six different colours. The ‘threads’ are made from 8 cm thick aluminum tubes which are bent at different angles and braids the volume of the pavilion in several directions. The tubes are coated in a coloured polymer composition to protect the aluminum from burning out in the sun.
