Carrying on its lively and creative calendar of events and experiences over the first six months of 2022 to ‘rethink the regular’, Dubai Design District (d3) launches Rethink Summer, a curated community programme of pop-ups, workshops, masterclasses and activities for the upcoming summer season.
The programme, which runs from 20 July to 26 August, aims to reinforce Dubai’s position as a global creative hub, and presents a vibrant array of activities – from summer flower arranging and indoor plant styling classes, to sustainable robotics by Junkbot, non-spray graffiti workshops, summer hairstyling and make-up tips, hip hop classes, bootcamp sessions, photography masterclasses, candle making, personal branding sessions and a colouring wall for all. Influencer and designer Zeynab Al Helw is also presenting an exclusive pop-up for her socially responsible fashion brand Reborn Society. All the activities will take place in d3 Summer Hub at building 6 in Dubai Design District (d3), a creative hub by TECOM Group dedicated to design, fashion, architecture, art and retail.
Home to creatives and entrepreneurs, d3 brings its community together once again to showcase the district’s extraordinary collective talent. Its enriching and diverse summer programme brings yet further opportunities for creatives of all ages to exchange ideas, share creativity and be inspired during the unrushed summer months. Visitors can experience pop-ups and activations covering lifestyle, sustainability, technology and DIY with a special line-up of events for children.
Rethink Summer Programme
Bootcamp by CAMP
Break a sweat pushing your fitness levels at bootcamp classes hosted by CAMP. Taking place every Sunday at 7pm at The Block in d3, these serotonin-pumping bootcamp sessions will leave you feeling refreshed, re-energised and ready for the summer. CAMP’s bootcamp is a 50-minute full body, weight sessions comprising of functional movement aimed at strengthening the body and empowering the mind.

Summer scent candle making workshop by From The Arabs
Homegrown candlemakers From The Arabs quickly became a big hit following their debut at the Dubai Design Week Marketplace in 2020, in d3. Since then, their signature terracotta clay pots and wooden wicks are seen at shops, cafes and homes across the city. From The Arabs was created to reinvigorate Emirati culture with traditional scents usually found in Emirati homes such as bokhour and incense. Learn how to create your own candle under their guidance during Rethink Summer.

Graffiti sessions will introduce students to different styles of graffiti such as tags, throws and piece. Sustainable robotics workshop by Junkbot

Reborn Society pop-up
Influencer and designer Zeynab ElHelw is bringing her socially responsible brand Reborn Society to d3 with a Rethink Summer exclusive pop-up shop. The brand’s trendy and sustainable collections will be on display and available for purchase at with a portion of sales going to UNHCR to support refugees worldwide. The pop up will introduce the sustainable Summer Mix – with a colourful palette of positive fresh vibes for your summer wardrobe and all made from 100% organic cotton and recycled materials.
