
“SUMMER 2023” assembles an eclectic array of artists from Art on 56th for a summer exhibition spotlighting both emerging and established talents from the Middle East. The roster features artists such as Elias Ayoub, Saoud Abdallah, Safaa Al Set, Haibat Balaa Bawab, Georges Bassil, Wissam Beydoun, Tarek Butayhi, Zouhair Dabbagh, Layla Dagher, Naim Doumit, Imad Fakhry, Mansour El Habre, Maroun Hakim, Issa Halloum, Mahmoud Hamadani, Ghada Jamal, Dyala Khodary, Louna Maalouf, Rafik Majzoub, Ghylan Safadi, and Yamen Yousef.
The exhibition space features an assortment of artistic expressions, including paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. This vibrant convergence of diverse themes and mediums underscores the profound significance of visual representations and underscores the pivotal role of art in chronicling the intricate tapestry of Middle Eastern history, society, and its multifaceted terrain. As indicative of an evolving regional art panorama, the collective body of work by these artists serves as a testament to the flourishing Middle Eastern artistic narrative, exemplifying how individual artistic approaches collectively weave a creative, shared story.

About Art on 56th
Situated in Beirut, Lebanon, Art on 56th Gallery stands as an independent hub for visual art. Founded by Noha Wadi Moharram in 2012, the gallery has found its abode within a century-old building harking back to the French era. Nestled in the heart of Gemmayzeh, the cultural epicentre of the capital city, the gallery plays an active role in keeping Beirut’s essence alive. Following the tragic explosion on August 4th, 2020, the gallery reconstructed and preserved its space.
The central mission of Art on 56th is to provide steadfast support to art originating from Lebanon, the Middle East, and beyond. By showcasing our artists to a global audience, the gallery contributes to the enrichment of the artistic landscape while invigorating the nation’s creative sphere.
