Downtown Design Riyadh will launch its first edition from 20–23 May 2025 in JAX District, a creative hub in the Saudi capital. Organised in partnership with the Architecture and Design Commission of the Ministry of Culture, the fair aims to present a wide view of contemporary design, bringing together global names, regional talent and cultural programming in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

The programme features a diverse mix of international and regional design voices. Global brands such as Visionnaire, Natuzzi Italia, Saint Louis, and Cosentino will showcase new and regionally debuted collections, including Cosentino’s Moon Vignettes installation by Kuwait-based Babnimnim Studio and Natuzzi’s Amama collection designed by Andrea Steidl. Maison Louis Drucker’s collaboration with TRAME and Aranda\Lasch also merges traditional craftsmanship with algorithmic design processes.

Through the Designed in Saudi initiative, the fair showcases emerging Saudi-based designers who draw on cultural heritage to shape contemporary expressions. Among them are Hobal, Lucas Barcelo, and NWII.III, the studio co-founded by architect Noura Suleiman. The initiative is part of a broader push to elevate and structure the local design scene, supporting Saudi Arabia’s wider ambitions for cultural and economic growth.

A dedicated limited-edition section presents collectible design pieces by leading international creatives such as Thomas Heatherwick, Sabine Marcelis, Draga & Aurel, and Naqsh Collective, exploring the intersections of art, craft, and design.

Downtown Design Riyadh marks a new platform for creative exchange in the region, connecting local practices with international conversations around art, craft, innovation and spatial design.
